Shooter – Retired Marine Corp Sniper Bob Lee Swagger is requested to come to Washington, to help stalk another sniper that will seek to slay the President. What happens to him next is a complete shock. The same US government people that he is helping are really setting him up to take the fall for the assassination. He somehow escapes when he is shot, and is now on the run. He is also prepared to fight back.
Holiday – First rendition of Philip Barry’s play in reference to non-conformity is a enjoyable movie. Johnny Case finds himself married to a millionaire’s daughter and he must choose between a career in big business or living life as a holiday. 1938 version includes Katherine Hepburn and Cary Grant among others. (95 minutes, 1938)
Say It Isn’t So – Pleasingly un-ambitious Klein falls for the new hairdresser in town Graham. They have consensual sex and then Klein finds out that Graham is his sister. It is a complete flop. Cast includes Heather Graham, Chris Klein, Orlando Jones, Sally Field, Richard Jenkins, John Rothman, Brent Briscoe, and Sarah Silverman. (96 minutes, 1988)
The All-American Boy – Cluttered drama in reference to Olympic aspirant Voight’s attempt to be a victorious boxer; beautiful locations of northern California, but that is all. Cast includes Jon Voight, Ned Glass, Anne Archer, and Carol Androsky.
